Meeting Minutes
June 30. 2026 – 6:00 PM
Location: Reading Public Library and via Zoom (see link below)
1. Call to Order / Roll call – Meeting started at 6:00PM. Libbet Downs, Rich Grogan, Bill Bakker, and Tony Pikramenos present
2. Changes to Agenda Items – No changes
3. Approve Minutes from Last Meeting – Libbet motioned to approve the minutes. Rich seconded. All were in favor
4. Public Comments – No public comments
5. Secretary’s Report: Tony informed the board that we received one donation and a thank you note will need to be written
6. Treasurer’s Report: The fiscal year has ended and we have a balance of $0.04 unspent. We also used the checkbook for attic moving expenses and will need to pay the bill for the new lighting
7. Librarian’s Report: Several groups continue to use the library for their regular meetings. We did not plant and herb garden this year but instead focused on annuals. New lights have been installed on both floors, with $4245.92 now due to the fixtures and installation. There will be 2 movie nights this year – August 7 and September 11. These are in partnership with the Recreation Commission. The library has a blood pressure monitor that the public can use. This was provided by the town nurse.
8. Unfinished Business: Maintenance – Nothing new at his time.
9. New Business: CD renewal. The CD is up for renewal in early July, though the new term options are not yet known. The CD offers a 14-day window after renewal to allow for any changes. Bill provided a motion to authorize Rich to renew the CD at the best terms. Libbet provided a second. All were in favor.
